Description
Many Macintosh 128k/512k/Plus battery sockets are damaged or corroded due to battery leakage in the past.
This is a drop-in replacement for the Macintosh 128k/512k/Plus battery socket.
Also known as part “CAPETRONIC DS 1011” and “815-0727-B”.
There a 2 types available. A ‘regulator’ type and a ‘no regulator type.
The ‘REGULATOR’ type
This model supports both 3.7V 14500 and 1.5V Alkaline/Lithium batteries. Using a small custom build voltage regulator the output voltage remains 4.5V (which is the original battery voltage), regardless of the battery type (1.5V -> 4.5V). There is a ‘ON/OFF’ switch so you can bypass the regulator if wanted.
- Do support 1.5V AA and 14500 batteries! (1.2V AA rechargeable not supported)
- Drop-in replacement
- 2 black screws to mount the socket to the board are added.
The ‘NO REGULATOR’ type
This model is a direct passthrough of a 3.7V 14500 battery. This model does NOT contain a build-in voltage regulator.
- Supports 3.7V 14500 type batteries
- Drop-in replacement
- 2 black screws to mount the socket to the board are added.
Both models are hand soldered and tested before shipping.
